Awards for Excellence and Service

The TESOL Teacher of the Year Award
The TESOL Teacher of the Year Award, presented by National Geographic Learning, was created by TESOL and National Geographic Learning to recognize and honor exceptional English language teachers at all levels.

The D. Scott Enright Interest Section Service Award
To acknowledge outstanding and extended service to and leadership in TESOL interest sections.

The Ruth Crymes TESOL Fellowship for Graduate Study
To support recent or current graduate students in the development of projects with direct application to ESOL language classroom instruction.

The TESOL Virginia French Allen Award for Scholarship and Service
The award honors an ESOL teacher who has shared scholarship and provided service to a TESOL International Association affiliate.

The Mary Finocchiaro Award for Excellence in Nonpublished Pedagogical Materials
To recognize a TESOL member(s) who has achieved excellence through the development of practical pedagogical materials not currently under consideration for publication.

TESOL Award for Distinguished Research
To recognize excellence in any area of research on language teaching and learning.

Convention Grants and Scholarships

 Professional Development Travel Grant for Practicing ESL/EFL Teachers
To support the professional development of ESL/EFL teachers by making it possible for more teachers to attend the annual international TESOL convention.

The TESOL Leadership Mentoring Program 
The Leadership Mentoring Program (LMP) helps underrepresented groups within TESOL become more involved in the work of the association.

The TESOL Professional Development Scholarships
To assist in the professional development of TESOL members by facilitating attendance at the annual convention.

The TESOL/TEFL Travel Grant
TESOL members who are currently practicing EFL teachers, teacher trainers, or supervisors with at least 5 years' experience in a non-English-speaking setting.

The Ruth Crymes TESOL Academies Fellowships
To support teachers who wish to attend a TESOL convention, academy, or symposium.

The University of Pittsburgh Travel Grant for IEP Instructors
To support teachers who wish to attend the TESOL convention.

The Albert H. Marckwardt Travel Grants
To assist graduate students traveling to the TESOL International Convention & English Language Expo.

Teacher Materials Grant

Tina B. Carver Fund Grant
To support organizations who need materials for their programming.
 

Calls for Proposals

2017 Doctoral Research Forum
Doctoral students can now submit proposals for poster presentations based on doctoral research at any stage. 

2017 Master's Student Forum
Full-time or part-time students enrolled in a graduate program leading to a master's degree in TESOL can now submit proposals for a paper, demonstration, or poster presentation.

2015 Call for Research Proposals
The TESOL Research Standing Committee is now soliciting research proposals that encourage practitioner–researcher collaboration.
